OK this may seem like a stupid question but no matter how I phrased it I couldn't find any links to a similar question through a Google search. Anyway...when I rub my eyes for the first time after not bothering them for a while there is a brief blindness that follows where my eyes are wide open yet I see nothing...but it quickly fades within about 5 seconds and the vision comes back in a sort of fuzzy fading in from the center all the way out to the peripheral. Does anyone know precisely why this happens or am I a freak and it only happens to me? Don't hesitate to explain it with many technical terms and scientific/medical jargon...it works better for me and makes me tingly LOL.
