My inheritance, my solicitor is ill?

My solicitor is ill and I havnt been paid any of my inheritance, he had a stroke and works for a firm. am I right in thinking that he is suposed to p it on to another solicitor to deal with in his absence sonthat I can get my monthly installments of my inheritance?? as I have bills to opayand realy need the money
